Jay L. Gershman

Jay GershmanJay L. Gershman specializes in retirement and life planning for individuals, as well as advice and implementation of 401(k) and profit sharing plans for business.  As an independent registered representative of the SSN, Inc. since 1995, Jay implements unbiased plans based upon the varied needs of a diverse clientele. 

Jay began his career in 1991 as a financial consultant with Guardian Life Insurance Company.  In 1996 he founded Sound Advisors, Inc, an investment advisory firm in Farmington, Connecticut and continued there until 2000 when he joined AdviceOne LLC. and served as Senior Vice President.  In 2007, Jay Formed Retirement Visions LLC, a retirement planning firm.

Jay graduated cum laude with B.S. degrees in Biology and Finance and holds a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Connecticut.  He has served his fellow financial planners as President of both the Hartford Council and the 700-member State of Connecticut Financial Planning Association boards as well as on national committees and is currently the President of Solomon Schechler Day School.
